Do you own a Wii? Have you always wondered how to copy Wii games? Maybe you just want to backup your Wii library so that you can prevent losing your investment if anything were to happen to your discs. Well, I’m here to tell you that it is definitely possible to backup your Wii games. In fact, I’ve put together the following tutorial to get you started. You can thank me later!

Perhaps, before coming to this article, you tried copying a Wii game the same way that you would copy a CD. How did that work out for you? Let me guess. The game wouldn’t play in your Wii, right? This is because Wii games have encryption burned into them that the game manufacturer’s hope will stop you in your tracks. Little do they know, but there is software readily available to help you with this task. They’re concerned about piracy, but this special software can get around the encryption.

Luckily for us gamers, some enterprising game programmers decided to thumb their noses at the game companies. They put together a few software applications that help people like us to copy Wii games. For the win!

You might be surprised to be advised of this, but the procedure is actually very simple. The first thing you should be sure that you possess a handful of things on hand: master game disc and a blank DVD in order to copy.

Next, obviously, you’ll need either a computer or a Macintosh. And whichever it is, it has to have a CD or DVD burner. It can be any old computer. It doesn’t have to be anything special. If it’s a Windows machine, it should have at least Windows XP. You will also need to download and install a game copy program. You should be able to find it with Google. It will rip any game disc – no matter what – and will let you make 10,000 copies if that what you need.

At first glance, this process STILL might look similar to the process of copying CDs. It’s just a different app that you’re using, right? Well, yes and no. I mean, you are ripping and burning a disc, but the file formats and whatnot are completely different. However, if you’ve ever made archival copies of your movie/DVD collection, then this process shouldn’t be beyond your skills.

You no longer have to worry over lost/stolen or scratched Wii games, since you will invariably possess backup copies. Nearly every gamer is aware that these Wii ISOs are not cheap, so guarding them is extremely important. In particular when you thinks about how easily damaged they are and wind up having none to use. This unfortunate situation can happen within a minute and you will certainly wish that you had copied that disc. For that reason, this will be the easiest way to make certain you will not lose out on all of your exclusive ISOs.
