How You Can Spruce Up Your Game Testing Resume

If you are serious about making a career as a game tester you are going to need to find your way into the best jobs. You have to be able to create a Resume that is going to make the recruiter stop to have another look; your Resume has to be attractive or you will not get these jobs. In many instances it will be your Resume that gets you the job so you need to give this document your full attention.

Here are a few ideas for how you can make your Resume more appealing

- When it comes to writing your Resume, you are going to have to imagine that you are the person reading it. Dealing with applicants is something that these game developers will be doing almost every day and they will be very busy. These game developers will likely be very appreciative of people who make their job that bit easier.

- Your Resume should only include the information that is needed and not one word more. Remember that it is going to be read by busy people and if they see unnecessary text on your Resume they might be tempted to just ignore the whole thing. You should not be bumping up your Resume with words you don’t need and information that has not even been requested.

- Speak to some game testers that you respect and ask them to have a look at their Resumes. Don’t copy their Resume but instead use it to get inspiration for your own Resume.

- Try to ensure that each Resume you send is tailored to the job you are applying for. Don’t make a general Resume which you send off every time you are applying for a job. Your Resume should be there to convince the reader why you are the ideal candidate for that particular job.
