After buying my son a Nintendo 3DS Black console for his 12th birthday I was surprised to see how great the games were as my son started playing them Testing your brain was all you could do with the Nintendo when it first hit the shops or so I thought.
My son was playing a different game to the one I purchased with the console on his birthday, but this one was so brilliant I just stood there mesmerized. School is full of games for the Nintendo and I can swap them anytime with the other kids when I want.
It was hard telling the boy he couldn’t take the Nintendo to school but my wife put her foot down and now I get a chance to experience the thrill of playing with it. On the older models I used to look at the controller (+) button when using it to manoeuvre characters around the screen, but with the new Circle Pad I’ve stopped doing it feels so natural.
The graphics and sound really give the feel of real computer game play in your hands and the new 3D effect is just fantastic to look at as it gives that feel of depth to the screen that these types of hand held console gamers never had before. To enhance the 3D view or to reduce the viewing capacity on the screen Nintendo have given you a slider button at the right of the top screen so you can adjust it to suit your eye’s and not get them strained.
Time and time again I get shot only to start back at the beginning of a level ready to be shot again. I guess my son wasn’t that impressed at the way I played It was mind boggling to be in so many different locations within the game but my son tells me that many games are more complex and harder to play and win as time goes by.
If that wasn’t complex enough now you can take photo’s with this machine as well via the 2 camera’s located on the lid about 4 ins apart. Once you’ve taken your 3D pics you can then store all of them on the SD Card stored in the base of the console. 2 GB SD card aren’t big enough for all my picture’s so I swapped it for a much larger one.
Combining your photo’s with sound on the SD card is a great way to present the media through the Nintendo via a gallery. Now a day’s your not alone with your Nintendo as they have introduced Wi-Fi to the console so now you can hook up with other Nintendo user’s while also being able to up date the console via Hot Spot’s around the town.
The Wi-Fi also lets you connect with other Nintendo console owners to exchange data from one machine to another via something called SpotPass which works even if your machine is in sleep mode.
To stop all the argument’s in our house I’ve bought my own Nintendo and a copy of Resident Evil so I can play with this fantastic little machine when ever I want. Its definitely change my life as its not dreary any more travelling to work when I’ve got my Nintendo to play with.
