The elder scrolls v also known as Skyrim is the latest game in the Elder Scrolls franchise. Just 5 year ago Bethesda, the company responsible for these amazing titles, released The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion an open world RPG which has become in a very short time one of the most played role playing games of all times. This was mainly due to the fact that it offered hundreds of hours of game play, mind blowing missions with hundred of types of weapons, artifacts, magic scrolls and enemies.

Elder scrolls v is set 200 years after oblivion, and centers around a civil war that has broken out in the skyrim realm. Players will be fully immersed into this scenario. Being able to change the features of each of the 9 races you can play adds a huge dimension and longevity to the game.

Quests

Elder scrolls v follows the same format as the previous games with a number of smaller quests that can be done alongside the main missions. These side quests allow the player to get better weapons and will open up secret areas of the game and a greater understanding of the skyrim world.

Characters

In total there are 9 races in Skyrim and this means that hardcore players who will want to experience this magical land in every possible way, will have the chance of doing so easily, if they actually have the time to play them all. These races, as many already know number the Redguard, Orc, Nord, Khajit, Imperial, Dunmer, Breton, Bosmer, Argonian and Altmer. Graphics Engine

Following on from some criticism form elder scrolls 4, the new game engine allows the animations to be more realistic and the game environment has more clarity and depth. Subtle shadow and lighting effects make objects and the environment as realistic as possible.

Will The Wii U Sell?

Every couple years, Nintendo comes to E3 with one of the most amazing, revolutionary innovations that the gaming industry has ever seen. 2011 was no exception. They announced the Wii U, and are gearing for launch now in 2012. With its amazing technology, will it sell to the average consumer?

The Wii was launched in 2006, just 4 years after the Gamecube was launched. It’s now 2012, and has been 6 years since we have gotten a full fledged console from Nintendo. And competitors are just starting to catch up to Nintendo’s innovation, so I guess they decided it was time to do it again. I think that gamers are definitely ready for a new console.

But the big question is… will it be worth it?

Don’t get confused by the name, the Wii U isn’t just an upgraded Wii. It’s a new console with better graphics capabilities and amazing new abilities in game play using a touch screen tablet controller. That piece of hardware is what will sell millions of Wii U consoles.

But that’s not all. You are now going to have the ability to take a game you are playing on a TV and switch it to the screen on your tablet to continue playing. WHAT!? You heard right. This technology right here is what is going to many Sony and Microsoft be working their butts off to keep up.

In addition, Nintendo has made graphics a huge priority for one of the first times in a while. The HD graphics in combination with the revolutionary technology is going to make this a home run. Can’t wait to see what both Nintendo and other publishers will make.

So will it sell? I believe so. The demand will certainly be there, and Nintendo is great at getting hype. The only issue that could stand in the way is pricing. But at the same time, Nintendo has been known for their affordable pricing. So hopefully that continues!

Super Mario Galaxy 3 for the Wii U?

It’s awesome that Nintendo gave us a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy. The first game was absolutely amazing and they didn’t disappoint with the second. Can we expect to see a third?

With the future being unknown, it all comes down to history. Meaning that we need to look at what Nintendo has done in the past to determine what they will do in the future.

Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 were both announced just 1 year before their release. The Wii U is expected to launch at the end of 2012. We probably are not going to get a release then, but maybe an announcement?

Did you know that Super Mario Galaxy was announced with the release of the Wii and then released a year later? History does tend to repeat itself, especially when that history was successful.

Also, what better time to launch an addition to a wildly popular series, than with a new console. Even though Mario was successful in releasing 3 sequential games on the NES, it’s not common for that to happen on the same console.

The Wii U is going to dominate in sales due to it’s amazing graphics and handheld abilities. So a Mario game is going to show up one way or another. It does make sense that Nintendo would continue with an already popular series.

So what would be a possible reason for Nintendo to not release Super Mario Galaxy 3? Well it’s possible that they have a new idea in the works. Or it is even possible that Nintendo used up all their good outer-space ideas on Super Mario Galaxy 2.

These are possible, but not probable. Nintendo released Super Mario 3D land and boosted 3DS sales, and I suspect that they will do the same with Super Mario Galaxy 3 and the Wii U.

Ok, it is really Maddens small bother since they’re made by the same company and all the controls are comparable but that is where it ends because the NCAA series catches College Football right down to the mascots and fight songs. I enjoy being able to run the choice in a game and you can even hire gamers and build your own dynasty! I have played this game and piled-up 15 and 20 seasons as a coach. Like it!

3) MLB The Show. Should have some baseball in my video diet and while I do think it’s the hardest sport to have accuracy in from a video game there is still nothing like crushing a ball 450 feet off the bat of Josh Hamilton or another slugger. Of course, baseball is a purist sport and the stats are what exactly the game is focused on.
