Why Are Many Of The Games On The Internet So Rubbish?

Maybe I’m a bit ungrateful but there really does seem to be a lot of online games that are just rubbish. Sure, many of these games are free to play, but you usually end up wasting at least a few minutes of your life before you realise how bad they are. I have often sat waiting for these games to load up and then only when they did would I realise that I just couldn’t play them.

The fact that some of these things are even called games is insulting to my intelligence to be honest with you; unless the object of the game is to annoy the player then how can they call unresponsiveness and clunky graphics a game.

To say that these games would not even have kept a kid from the seventies amused is not an exaggeration at all. With all the advances in technology in computing over the last four decades it saddens me to say that some of these games would still be perfect for the Sinclair Spectrum.

And even if these game developers don’t have the huge budgets that some other developers have, there really is no excuse for this tripe. To be completely honest I often wonder if the makers of these games were blind drunk when they put them together.

What really gets on my nerves with these games is that the developers will put a lot of effort into actually making them sound like great games. The descriptions I often read coupled with the amazing graphics have me on the edge of my seat with anticipation to play the games.

But more often than not, what actually happens is that the game never lives up to expectations and I am left feeling really disappointed. It is hard not to feel a bit cheated but it isn’t like you can complain about free games. Unless you want to complain about your waste of time and bandwidth.
